reComputer Robotics J4012 Specifications:

The reComputer Robotics J4012 is powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module, capable of up to 157 TOPS of AI performance in MAXN mode. It integrates an 8-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU clocked up to 2.0 GHz, combined with a 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU featuring 32 Tensor Cores at 1173 MHz. For dedicated AI tasks, the system includes dual NVDLA v2.0 engines and a PVA v2.0 vision accelerator, making it suitable for robotics, automation, and other edge AI workloads.

The system comes with 16GB LPDDR5 memory on a 128-bit bus, delivering up to 102.4 GB/s bandwidth. It supports multiple power modes ranging from 10W to 40W, allowing developers to balance performance and efficiency. Video processing capabilities include support for 8K30 decode, 4K60 encode, and multiple 1080p streams, while camera connectivity is handled through an 8-lane MIPI CSI-2 interface supporting up to four cameras (expandable to eight via virtual channels).

For expansion and connectivity, the board provides dual Gigabit Ethernet, M.2 slots for storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 5G modules, along with six USB 3.2 ports, Type-C interfaces for host, device, and display, plus DP 1.4 output. Additional I/O includes CAN bus, UART, and I²C headers. The system also supports active cooling with dual fan connectors and offers robust input through a 19–54V XT30 power connector.

Seeed ships the device with JetPack 5.1 pre-installed on the SSD. JetPack provides Linux BSP, CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT, and multimedia APIs. Developers also get access to NVIDIA’s DeepStream SDK, TAO Toolkit, and Riva for building vision, speech, and sensor-fusion applications. The system supports OTA updates and device security features. More information available on products wiki page.

The reComputer J4012 series is available in two variants. The Super J4012, powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module, is priced at $950.00. The Robotics J4012, which integrates an extended carrier board with additional I/O and interfaces designed for robotics and industrial applications, is listed at $979.00. For bulk purchases, Seeed Studio offers a discount on the Robotics model, bringing the price down to $959.00 per unit when ordering ten or more.
