Avalue has launched the EPC-ASL, a Intel N97 fanless box PC built around the Intel Processor N97 (Alder Lake-N) SoC. Designed for edge computing and 24/7 industrial use, it delivers high performance, reliability, and flexible deployment across smart manufacturing enviornmets.

The Avalue EPC-ASL is powered by an Intel Processor N97 quad-core CPU running up to 3.6 GHz with 6MB cache, integrated 24EU Intel UHD Graphic, all with 12W TDP. It supports up to 16GB DDR5 4800MHz memory via a single SO-DIMM socket and storage options through an M.2 2280 Key-M slot for NVMe (PCIe x1) or SATA drives, along with a 2.5-inch 7mm bay.

Display features are HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.4a, both with a 4096 x 2160 resolution at 60Hz and audio is provided by a Realtek ALC888S HD Audio codec that includes 3.5mm Mic-in and Line-out.

There are two Intel I226 V Ethernet controllers that have the support of 2.5GbE and the old 10/100/1000/2.5G speeds. Connections It has three USB 3.2 Gen2, three USB 2.0 ports (one on the rear, two on the front), and two RS232 COM (DB9) serial ports. Expansion will have one M.2 Key-B (3042/3052/2242) slot with PCIe x1, USB 3.2 Gen1, and USB 2.0 and one M.2 Key-E (2230) slot with PCIe x1 and USB 2.0.

Security features include optional TPM 2.0, and other onboard components include a power button, reset button, power/storage LEDs, two dust-protected antenna mounts, AMI BIOS with 256Mbit SPI Flash, and a watchdog timer.

The system operates on +12V / +24V DC input via a lockable DC jack and supports AT / ATX power modes (default ATX), using a 60W adapter by default or 120W for full-load conditions.
