Compulab’s EdgeAI-ORN industrial-grade edge AI computer has officially arrived, delivering up to a staggering 157 TOPS of AI performance using NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano modules, a notable leap for on-device inference at the edge. This is an excellent fit for deployment scenarios like smart traffic systems, robotics, and visual inspection.
NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano AI Computer features:
Housed in a rugged, compact chassis conforming to MIL-STD-810G, the EdgeAI-ORN is purpose-built for demanding environments. It handles temperatures ranging from –25 °C to 75 °C and accepts a broad 9-36 V DC input. It supports 4 simultaneous camera inputs across multiple formats, including GMSL2, FPD-Link IV, MIPI CSI-2, USB 3.2, or 2.5 GbE PoE.

Beyond vision interfaces, the EdgeAI-ORN includes HDMI 2.1 for display, isolated RS-232/422/485, CAN Bus, GPIO, and expansion via multiple M.2 slots (for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, cellular, storage). Optional TPM 2.0 bolsters security, and an optional Allxon Bolt out-of-band (OOB) management module enhances remote system resilience.
The EdgeAI-ORN ships with NVIDIA JetPack SDK preinstalled, offering CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT, and other AI/ML frameworks optimised for the Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano modules. Compulab provides support for Ubuntu-based Linux distributions, along with BSP updates tailored for long-term availability. The platform also supports containerised workloads via Docker and integrates with NVIDIA’s DeepStream SDK for video analytics. Compulab further ensures stability with extended lifecycle software support, making the system suitable for industrial and deployment-critical projects.

Previously, we learned that developers use the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor as a strong kit for humanoid robotics and physical AI. If your priority is industrial deployment reliability and connectivity, EdgeAI-ORN is the better choice.
The EdgeAI-ORN fanless edge AI computer is available now from Compulab, starting at $536.48 for the Orin Nano 4GB barebone model, with high-end Orin NX 16GB configurations priced up to $1,197.68, and all models backed by a 5-year warranty. You can find more information, along with a datasheet, on the product page.
