HUAWEI has introduced the Pura 80 Ultra, a flagship smartphone available in Prestige Gold and Golden Black. The device features a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display (2848 × 1276, 460 ppi) with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1440 Hz PWM dimming, and up to 300 Hz touch sampling.
Powered by EMUI 15.0, the phone includes 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The rear camera setup combines a 50 MP 1-inch Ultra Lighting HDR main camera with variable aperture, a 40 MP ultra-wide, a 50 MP telephoto (3.7x optical zoom), and a 12.5 MP telephoto (9.4x optical zoom), plus a spectral ultra chroma sensor, supporting up to 100x digital zoom. The 13 MP front camera offers 4K video capture.
The 5170 mAh battery supports 100 W wired and 80 W wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be), Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC and L2HC, NFC, USB 3.1 Gen1, and dual-SIM/eSIM support. You can check out the Vivo T4R 5G with a 5700 mAh battery for reference.
Rated IP68/IP69, the Pura 80 Ultra offers high resistance to water, dust, and high-pressure sprays. Additional features include stereo speakers with HUAWEI Histen, multiple sensors (fingerprint reader, laser, gesture, barometer), and global navigation support. Measuring 163 × 76.1 × 8.3 mm and weighing around 233.5 g, the Pura 80 Ultra feels very premium in hand.
Huawei based its own operating system on Android, but without Google Mobile Services (GMS). Instead, it uses Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and the AppGallery as its main app store. EMUI 15.0 offers Huawei’s latest AI-driven features, improved animations, and system-level optimisations for smoother multitasking. Since developers built it on open-source Android, users can sideload most standard Android apps, though they don’t include Google Play by default.
