Following the launch of the EXEC-Q911 COM-HPC Mini Module, Innodisk announced its high-performance, ready-to-use edge AI starter kit that would be used in robotics, smart infrastructure, vision systems, and other edge AI-intensive applications using the new Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ-9075 SoC.
The Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ-9075 processor with an octa-core Kryo CPU and an Adreno 663 GPU is at the centre of the EXEC-Q911. The integrated Hexagon Tensor Processor provides 100 TOPS (Dense) or 200 TOPS (Sparse) of AI performance, providing a fast and reliable neural network and generative AI inference performance. This computing power is sufficient to enable the use of a complex vision model, a classification problem, and a machine learning pipeline with minimal power consumption of below 30 W.
EXEC-Q911 COM-HPC Mini Starter Kit features:
Compared to its memory as well as storage features, the EXEC-Q911 has 36 GB of LPDDR5X memory and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 built-in storage, so that it can handle large datasets and has rapid performance. Additionally, it has a complete range of interfaces, a 2.5 GbE Ethernet, a 2.5 GbE camera 4-lane MIPI CSI-2, PCIe Gen4, USB 3.2, UART, SPI, CAN-FD, and a GPIO to offer flexible expansion and peripheral integration to a wide variety of industrial applications.
Innodisk has supplied IQ Studio, a complete development toolkit containing board support package (BSP), AI samples, benchmarks, and test tools to assist developers. IQ Studio reduces the time-to-bring-up systems and seeks to minimise time-to-market through minimal effort to access AI architectures and pre-authenticated models. The platform is compatible with mainstream OS options like Yocto Linux and Ubuntu 24.04; therefore, compatible with various software ecosystems.
Despite its industrial-grade design, it works reliably over a large temperature range (-40 °C to 85 °C), and the chipset has a longer life warranty up to 2038, which is important in rugged deployments in automation and surveillance systems and enterprise edge systems.
The Innodisk EXEC-Q911 COM-HPC Mini starter kit lacks an officially stated price, being an industrial and enterprise-level edge AI platform. Pricing is usually based on configuration, volume of order, and sales agreements. Regarding availability, the kit remains in the sampling stage, with Innodisk and its authorised distributors providing it for evaluation and early access through direct inquiry, while the company has not announced mass‑market retail availability.
