M5Stack Unveils NanoH2 Dev Kit Based on ESP32-H2 with Zigbee and Thread Support

M5Stack NanoH2 Dev Kit (ESP32-H2) is a development board that is very small and inexpensive, with applications in the Internet of Things (IoT). Also quite compact, it has strong wireless capabilities and can be expanded in many different ways, which makes it a very attractive option to makers, hobbyists, and developers of smart devices.

The NanoH2 has one Microcontroller of 32bits called the Espressif ESP32-H2FH4S; this system on a chip is 4 MB in flash memory and has an operating frequency of up to 96 MHz. It is an IEEE 802.15.4 wireless communication SoC that is easily compatible with Zigbee, Thread and Matter protocols (the most popular smart home communication standards).

NanoH2 has a distinctive feature in the form of a tight shape. It measures about 23.5×12×9.5 mm and weighs just over 3.7 g, making it much smaller than a bulky project, and it can be directly installed into more compact, custom hardware.

Although it is compact, the board has convenient on-board features, which include: built-in LED, RGB WS2812 LED, infrared transmitter, a user button and the Grove port with which it can be accelerated with very diverse sensors and peripherals in the M5Stack ecosystem. It also has a USB-C connection, which enables it to have a modern and convenient way of connection when powering and programming.

Programming the NanoH2 is flexible. The familiar environment, such as the Arduino IDE or Espressif ESP-IDF framework, allows developers to use common methods when beginning with straightforward code and creating highly sophisticated wireless environments.

The NanoH2 has been found to shine in smart home automation, industrial control systems, consumer electronics, and power-starved wireless sensor networks in practice. Its connection to Thread and Matter enables it to communicate with a wide range of devices, both lights and switches and environmental sensors, with safe and reliable communication.

Best of all, however, the NanoH2 Dev Kit (ESP32-H2) provides all these capabilities at a very low price, usually about six point nine five dollars, and advanced IoT development can be offered to many people. Currently, it is available on M5Stack’s store and AliExpress.
