The T-Lora Dual from LILYGO is a small, low-power, ESP32-based LoRa board, designed specifically to suit hobbyists and students, as well as engineers and all those who may want to make a wireless IoT project. You may take a look at other LILYGO products, i.e. T-Beam-1W, T-Echo Plus, T-Display Bar, etc, for your reference.
The T-Lora Dual can include two ultra-low-power LR1121 LoRa transceivers and allows long-range communication in sub-GHz (150-960 MHz) and 2.4 GHz spectrums. The control unit of all this is an ESP32-S3R8 produced dual-core LX7 processor, which is sufficient to provide the board with enough power to handle wireless devices, sensors, and edge computing. The design makes things more flexible as it has exposed GPIO, I2C, SPI, and UART interfaces so that adding more sensors, actuators and peripherals is easy. There are also useful onboard extras added, such as a microSD slot to log data locally and battery input support, which allows the board to be used in remote, low-power, or outdoor IoT applications.

The makers of T-Lora Dual suggest it for anyone with basic programming knowledge, because it’s low-power and supports battery operation, it’s well-suited for remote sensor nodes, environmental monitoring, agriculture, industrial IoT, or any project needing long-range data exchange with minimal energy consumption.
In terms of software, the T-Lora Dual is powered by the standard ESP32-S3 software platform; thus, it will run Arduino, ESP-IDF, PlatformIO or MicroPython without additional configuration. LILYGO provides ready-made samples and collections of LoRa, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and SD-card functions and, therefore, allows instant code-writing after the box is opened. USB-C flashing is easier, and all significant tools work seamlessly with the board. More information is available on GitHub.
At the time of writing, the T-Lora has an ESP32-based LoRa board that costs approximately $19.04 on the official LILYGO store, although the product is in stock as out of stock at the moment, so it is not possible to purchase it directly at the moment. Stock and pricing can differ between third-party retailers, with other sellers offering it a little higher based on the regions and availability. Assuming that you want to purchase it soon, the surest way would be to look among the local distributors or international resellers until LILYGO restocks.
