The AI X1 Pro-470, Minisforum’s newest mini PC, was unveiled at CES 2026. It is the first system built around AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX470 processor, which is intended to excel in gaming, content creation, and remote work. The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor, produced by TSMC in an effective 4 nm, serves as the engine. This 12-core chip has 24 threads, a maximum speed of 5.2 GHz, and four potent Zen 5 cores on one side and eight low-power Zen 5C cores on the other, while the integrated Radeon 890M GPU with 2GB–48GB VRAM allocation enables smooth moderate gaming for gamers.
Two-microphone array with AI noise reduction and high-quality speakers ensures clear communication, whereas multi-device productivity is ensured by the abundance of I/O: USB4, HDMI 2.1, DP 2.0, and SD card slot. As much as 12TB of storage is used to enable creators to handle huge 4K files, three-dimensional projects, and AI files. OCuLink port also allows connecting to external GPUs such as the NVIDIA RTX or Radeon RX series to play games with ultra-high frame rates and 4K/8K. Ai X1 Pro-470 has two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots and is capable of supporting up to 128GB and 5600MHz. The storage side has three M.2 2280 NVMe slots which are internal to the chassis. Wireless connectivity is done with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and wired is through dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet. The system is physically secured by a metal chassis and a built-in Kensington lock slot and an in-built fingerprint sensor which supports Windows Hello.
