The Wireless-Tag WT01P4C5-S1 is a sophisticated Espressif’s ESP32-P4 and ESP32-C5 dual-chip-based board that can support the ever-increasing needs of the IoT, edge computing, and AIoT applications. This module is manufactured by the Wireless-Tag Technology Co., Ltd. and is a combination of high-performance computing and flexible connectivity in a small board ideal for developers, makers, and embedded system developers.

The major part of the WT01P4C5-S1 is a dual-core platform based on integrating two more powerful chips, ESP32-P4 and ESP32-C5. Dual-core ESP32-P4: The ESP32-P4 is a high-speed, high-performance 32-bit, RISC-V processor with up to 400 MHz that can be used as a real-time controller, data processing, and AI platform. In the meantime, ESP32-C5 offers strong wireless connectivity with two-band Wi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and low-power network features typical of IoT applications.

Memory configuration and Interface:

The flexible memory arrangement is one of the outstanding characteristics of the WT01P4C5-S1. The board provides 16 MB or 32 MB of PSRAM, providing developers with ample space in which to execute complex software, buffer storage, and work with large data stream processing, which is an excellent option when dealing with multimedia, machine learning, or sensor data processing.

It is also well equipped with connectivity and expansion. This module has a wide range of interfaces, including SPI, UART, I2C, I3C, and I2S, and it has MIPI-CSI and MIPI-DSI connectors, which are perfect for connecting cameras and displays to a project based on vision. They allow the board to be highly configurable to many different applications, such as smart home controllers or industrial automation units.

Chip Architecture Diagram

The WT01P4C5-S1 is versatile as it can operate in a wide temperature range (− 40 °C to 85 °C) and can be powered by a standard 5 V DC supply, therefore, being easily applicable in the household or outdoors. It has a small size (around 35 x 35 mm or so), which can easily be embedded into bespoke enclosures and embedded systems.

Software Support:

This board works with Espressif ESP-IDF as its main software platform in support of Espressif, offering developers the official drivers, RTOS support, wireless stack, and peripheral library of both ESP32-P4 and ESP32-C5. It also has the added advantage of being part of the larger ESP32 platform, and compatible with Arduino IDE and MicroPython to write code even more easily or quickly. This renders the board appropriate for developing IoT, wireless and embedded projects with well-documented tools and a vast developer community.
